Homemade Liquid Dishwasher Detergent & Rinse Aid

When I first started looking for a dishwasher detergent, I was looking for a liquid recipe. Also, I was looking for a recipe that had similar ingredients to what I already had in my home. I was so excited to find one!

However, as usual, I tweaked it a little bit. I made the batch larger and used more Tea Tree Oil. I like the smell of the Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds mixed with the Tea Tree Oil. I have found that this recipe works well. However, all the dishes need to be rinsed. I have found that no food needs to be stuck to any of the dishes.

Homemade Liquid Dishwasher Detergent

Ingredients:
1 cup Dr Bronner’s Sal Suds
1 cup White Vinegar
1 cup Water
2 tsp Lemon Juice
10 drops Tea Tree Oil

Directions:
Just mix all the ingredients together! Use 1 tablespoon per load. It is that simple!

Dishwasher Rinse Aid
Ingredients:
White Vinegar

Directions:
Pour desired amount of White Vinegar in the Rinse Aid part of the dishwasher.

You can also choose what type of container you want to keep your Homemade Liquid Dishwasher Detergent and Homemade Dishwasher Rinse Aid solution in. I like to reuse plastic or glass jars. However, you can also use a nice vase to pour it in the dishwasher. Another idea is to use a dawn bottle that has been cleaned out. Then you would only need to squirt it in the dishwasher. I hope you enjoy!
